DAIR (debridement, antibiotics, and implant retention) is a standard procedure used to treat patients with PJI, in which damaged and infected tissues are removed and the wound is cleaned. The prosthetic remains intact. The study doctor rinses the infected area with the study medication for about 15 minutes during the DAIR procedure.
